The PortfolioMetrix Active Income Prescient Actively Managed ETF is an income generating portfolio with the objective to achieve a high level of sustainable income and stability of capital invested. In order to achieve the objective, the portfolio will be actively managed and will continually reflect the asset manager's view of the relative attractiveness of the various asset classes. Investments to be acquired for the portfolio may include equity securities, property securities, property related securities, interest bearing securities, non-equity securities, money market instruments, preference shares and assets in liquid form.
The portfolio will be subject to the Prudential Investment Guidelines for South African Retirement Funds, being Regulation 28 of the Pension Funds Act, or such other Legislation published from time to time, subject to a maximum equity exposure of 10% of the portfolio's net asset value.
The portfolio may also invest in participatory interests and other forms of participation in portfolios of collective investment schemes, registered in South Africa and other similar schemes operated in territories with a regulatory environment which is to the satisfaction of the manager and trustee of a sufficient standard to provide investor protection at least equivalent to that in South Africa and which is consistent with the portfolio's primary objective.
The portfolio may from time to time invest in listed and unlisted financial instruments, in accordance with the Collective Investment Schemes Board Notice 90, in order to achieve the portfolio's investment objective. The asset manager may only include the following unlisted financial instruments for efficient portfolio management purposes: forward currency, interest rate and exchange rate swap transactions. Forward points are sourced from Bloomberg in line with Spot Rates. These instruments will be valued in line with the best market practices. The portfolio will comply with the provisions of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act and the Regulations thereto, as amended from time to time.
